Isn't the whole point of moveable frets the moving of them so that
we can enjoy finer harmonies? If you haven't at least experimented with
temperaments other than equal, you aren't using your lute to its fullest
capabilites. Try it: you'll like it! (If not, you can simply put the
frets back where you found them--remember: they're moveable.)

The information on meantone on your website is great. It is easy to
follow, and since my lute happens to be the 59cm of your example, the
calculations are already done! I've been using sixth-comma mt for some
time, enjoying the greater sonority of my lute so tuned. Now, since my
frets are in need of a change (placement as well as material) I'm lloking
forward to experimenting with quarter comma mt.
