Hi, all, Can anyone give recommendations and links to sources for fret gut, all = types? I just used the last of my stash from Donna Curry's Music, so will = need some more. Given my string/fret maintenance practices, I'll need it = within the next decade, so no particular hurry. Best, and keep playing, Chris.

I sometimes use that type for the first fret if it is tough to get a=20 good grip on the fingerboard. Otherwise, the string type gut to me gives clearer sound when used as=20 a fret--perhaps it dampens the sound less. You can also soak the fret before tying it, but that usually is not=20 necessary if you go up the ladder. dt At 10:49 PM 3/3/2009, you wrote: >It may depend on who/where you get them from.
