It's one of the two pieces in the book for 6-course lute with 6th
course tuned to F (and indeed better played on a 6-course because of
the rest stroke for the thumb from 6 to 5 to 4). The other music is
all for 6- or 7-course lute, for which I will use my 8-course, as it
has a black fingerboard (better visibility of the strings). The
6-course has extreme low tension these days, btw, as the strings ar
for a'-lute at 440, tuned down to g'-lute at 440Hz. I thought it would
be best to record all on g'-lute at 440Hz, as I suspect that's what
the majority of people using this site will have.

It's never uncomplictaed with lutes, is it? ;-)

Thanks!

David - who didn't start about the strings this time
