The strummed bit at the beginning is the standard chord sequence for the Marionas i.e. C major G major A minor F major G major C major. It is found at the beginning of the version of Marionas by Santiago de Murcia in the Saldivar Codex and in the manuscript Libro de diferentes cifras but not oddly enough in Sanz. The Marionas is a version of the chacona and also has a descending bass line. Hope that sheds a little light from afar.
