Well, the presumption or, as you prefer, conjecture (that it may be a
   posed dead animal) might be not to your liking and be unacceptable to
   you. But without evidence so is a contrary view that a live animal was
   suddenly discovered adopting this pose........  We're surely all not
   unaware of set-ups these days - often for the 'entertainment' industry.
   Personally I think the my presumption is by far the most likely.
