More of the Big Bucks companies are going that way -- Photoshop is one example, Blackmagic's Resolve (video NLE editor) is another -- plus some smaller software, more comparable to Fronimo, like Cocos' Reaper DAW.
While it is possible to rebase existing software, it is non-trivial, and I wouldn't expect either Francesco or Alain would have the time, interest, or energy to do that with either of their wonderful softwares. I suspect there would be very little payoff in doing so. Much as I'd like to have a native version of Fronimo, a virtual machine makes for a easy option. .. m.
