Voice over LTE, required for voice over 4G or 5G, is not a standard.  In
Australia, Optus and Vodophone implement one standard, while Telstra
implement another proprietary standard. Which means phones cannot make
voice calls on the Telstra network without proprietary software.

Supposedly this means it is not possible to have a phone running open
source software that supports phone calls on Telstra 4G/5G after the 3G
shutdown.

Is there any truth in this?
