Its not only eye-candy, some of its features are vitally important for
accessibility, such as color negative (Super-N) and realtime zoom with
focus tracking (Super-Wheel). Also, the overview functions are very
practical.

Of course, it also looks nice, and works fine with lxde. ;-)

Actually, Marty sent me a patch for lxpanel that fixed the unsupported
window property that caused the problem. So, lxpanel (0.5) in Knoppix
works with compiz' cube rotation again. I have not tried the development
version yet.
