Hello Klaus, For auto popup dialogs for removable device, you should try pcmanfm2. Although it's still in beta status, generally it's already usable. When removable device was inserted, if gvfs is working correctly, you'll see a dialog. :-) Since now Linux is migrating to udisks and deprecate HAL, the old code in pcmanfm no longer works. So currently I do this with gvfs, but later I'll try to do some udisks-only implementation to prevent totally depending on gvfs.
