Hi everyone.

I felt I should point out that having icons show on the desktop the way
gnome,xfce,windows etc do

often results in cluttered, ugly and impractical desktop experience.

KDE4 seems to have found a way around it with plasma desktop, but still
maybe there's a better solution.

since you're thinking of implementing it, why not innovate?
