I am still confused.

Is the answer "if you have a greeter, it is Webkit based, but you can run 
without a greeter"
and
"The only option if you have a greeter is that it is Webkit based".

If that's the case, then my opinion would be, while you may have a very fine 
product that you should continue developing, the greeter is much, much too 
heavy to be considered for LXDE.

May I take this opportunity to say the way that LXDM uses a Builder file as 
part of the theme is an excellent stroke of insight into a very nice way to do 
it.
