Those Debian related suggestion were not meant to be technically
precise, sorry. It's just that the newest version overwrote my local
configuration, but then it could be a bug since the configuration is
being reset at every login.

Regarding the undefined ordering when opening pcmanfm, I'm giving
feedback for it at

As long as pcman is monitoring it (and of course he is since it had
been just recently closed), then he should know if he opens it again
or just fix it again as it was a regression. I guess (as an outside
observer) it may be related more with the recent upgrades to libfm
than to pcmanfm. This because even yesterday morning, before the
movable icons were commited to the master branch, the regression had
occured.
