I have found that challenge questions, not Captcha, are the best deterrent to spambots.They are unique, the administrator can change them, and spambots can't figure them out. Just realize that people can be dense when you write a question. I once had a challenge question of "What is the color of orange?" and got a lot of complaints. People couldn't figure out that the answer was "orange". :-P
