In this case your command is probably "lxpanel --profile LXDE". It will
stay in the foreground, so you can hit Ctrl+C in that terminal when the
panel freezes, and then start lxpanel again.

You can get the list of defined profiles by checking
"ls ~/.config/lxpanel/" in a terminal.
