I wasn't aware there's already an agreement. But if so it's that no country-specific stuff is needed in German. Still I don't get why there should be a need of networkmonitor_de*_DE*.desktop as you wrote in the PR. This meant you want either both networkmonitor_de.desktop and networkmonitor_de_DE.desktop supported or the latter only. Neither makes sense to me Are there any technical reasons or something else I miss? Otherweise let me mention once more, that everything works well if networkmonitor_de_DE.desktop as well as networkmonitor_de_DE.ts, which isn't maintained on Pootle anyway, are simply dropped from the source code.
