Hello Andriy

Many thanks for your reply - your interest and response is much appreciated.

You said: [Quote] Isn't that the same as auto-hide feature of LXPanel?

Not quite - with LxPanel's auto-hide the panel disappears whenever the
cursor is not over it

With the "Go below when not in use" feature from LxPanelX - the panel
only disappears when another window covers it and reappears if the
cursor is moved to the minimized zone. This gives the best of both
worlds where the panel is available and visible other than when you want
a window with the greatest possible area - for instance for a web browser.

The Recent Documents feature provides a list of documents opened from
all applications - as recorded in ~/.local/share/recently-used.xbel
and the corresponding application is launched when one document from the
list is clicked. Attachment screenshot2 shows the Recent Documents in
LxPanelX

Howto implement the feature for Openbox menus (but not xdg menus) can be
seen at: http://lxlinux.com/openbox.html#3

I tried changing the Locale but this made no difference to the menu order.
Attachment screenshot1 shows the menu alphabetically reversed
Also attached is the lxde-applications.menu file and the menu cache from
~/.cache/menus

Cheers!
Peter

p.s. I'm willing to assist with the implementation of both these
requested features as much as I can....
