Hello *, I used kde for many years. Now kde-4 is no longer supported, and I had to decide - migrate to kde-5 or something simpler. I suppose I never use 90% of kde features, so I decided to try lxqt. I run Gentoo, installation of lxqt-0.10 is very easy. I log in my laptop in text mode, and start lxqt via startx: my .xinitrc contains
exec startlxqt Mostly it works fine. But all items in the Exit meny don't work. When I choose any of these items, simply nothing happens: lxqt continues to work. The only way is to switch to the first console (ctrl-alt-F1) and say ctrl-c. This does not seem normal. Also, various items in this menu seem useful, e.g., to switch off the computer. It would be very good if they worked. On the first console I see a message from polkit-gnome-authentification-agent that an authentification agent already exists for the given subject. Then a message about starting /etc/xdg/autostart/lxqt-powermanagement.desktop. Can I configure something to make items in the Exit menu work? In general, I like my first day with lxqt. The only program I miss is okular (OK, qpdfview and djview are fine; but how to view dvi? xdvi is rather terrible; and how to view ps? gv is very old-fashioned).
