Me (drooly) and RexBouwense have been the only ones to moderate https://forum.lxde.org/ for a couple of years now. Every time I log in I have to remove a slew of spam posts, usually from individual accounts that then have to be banned as well. I assume RexBouwense is doing the same. This has been going on ever since I became moderator, and before that afaik. Today, only 2 days after Rex last logged in, I had to remove 30 spam posts and almost as many users, and there wasn't one legitimate new post since my last login over a week ago!
Something has to happen here. It casts a really bad light on the project, esp. considering the forum is linked several times on the LXDE.org web site. Previous efforts to contact the forum site administrators have been fruitless, and I have no idea how else to contact someone responsible. Either the forum software will have to be made more spam resistant or changed altogether, or the forum needs to be closed down, because I don't know how long I can keep on doing this (and I'm sure Rex feels the same).
