[ Re-wrapped to internet mail standards ] > This is about to be demonstrated once again in the virtual plugfests of * the Global Grid Forum Grid Computing Environments Web Services Testbed, * where they will be playing crypto implementations from rather competitive * groups and show that they all play together.
SSL implementations can be completely interoperable and still completely fail as a security measure. If anything this failure to realise that problems that can't be easily seen compromise security is the main cause of encryption breaches. On the other hand, I think it might be possible to create incompatible SSL implementations (e.g. because one only implements a patented algorithm and the freeware one is unable to do so) that are both very secure. ; To UNSUBSCRIBE: Send "unsubscribe lynx-dev" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
