It looks hack-ish...
You might argue with 'corporate identity', but what's wrong with a
new tag if one is needed?
Ok, I'd better shut up since I do not know what I am talking about (as
usual...) ;-)

It's a pain to have 2341 handlers for all antiques, and I think LyX is
not yet in a state where backward compatibility is more important than short
and clean code...
