installation is done correctly. Could somebody try that please?
I think you are looking for trouble :)
I am just trying to improve the experience of the typical user. The
typical user won't open a console to launch lyx (ether on Windows, Linux
or Mac), he will just double-click an icon. If there is a problem with
the sysdir or the userdir, he would have missed this useful information
entirely.
But if you don't like it I can enable it only on Windows and Mac.
