Liviu notice that we are not against a lyx-gtk frontend we will certainly
welcome such addition :-) as well as new developers. ;-)
Liviu, I assume you've already given up ;)
But there was a time with Qt and gtk AND xfroms in trunk and this was hard
if you only know one toolkit. Always you have to check if you haven't broken
the other toolkit's code. Then, after very, very, veeeery long discussions
we decided to use Qt only, because at that moment no gtk developer was active.
Technically it is much simpler to add gtk support to LyX than to other
projects, but it will still eat some men-months.
Therefore, I think the only thing you could do, is to give up your daily
job and to complete the gtk+ support ;), or you help us to make LyX more
comfortable for gtk+/gnome users.
Or we start another qt/gtk+ flame-ware here. ;)
