Based on the current design, I think having a centered label (as with
conglomerate) on each line would work well.
Right. What I cannot do now is add padding around the inset to leave
room for the label. Currently it will do stringe things.
For my own most important use case (csquotes) it would be very nice if
one could additionally define label strings that prepend or follow the
inset, e.g. opening and closing quotation marks. But I understand this
is a rather idiosyncratic request.
If you make that work for normal insets, it should work when flowing
(although we do not really handle margins around flowing insets right now.
