No, it does not have the symbols we need (checked with qfd)

Well, yeah. Although it's nice to have them in a decent font :)
btw, placing the .pfb fonts we use from latex in ~/.fonts does "work",
but there is a problem preventing us from doing this: fontconfig is
snooping for \FamilyName, which for all the cm* pfb files is "Computer
Modern". So we cannot detect the difference, I think
