Hi, There was a description as follows which says there is a special version of LyX for Japanese. This is a wrong information. The vertical writing is already available with layout "Japanese (vertical writing)" (tarticle) of the document style (from beginning of 1.5.x series), so it doesn't require any additional patch. The Windows version in the link contains an installer with Japanese interface, but it doesn't contain any modified LyX.
