I get all index entries correctly, see the PDFs at

and there is only one space around each side of the | character. What do you mean is wrong and
incorrect corresponding to the makeindex manual?:

This manual omits every spaces, also the spaces around ! characters, but the spaces can be used to
have a better overview. When the spaces really make problems I wonder why this is only the case for
| and not for ! where always use spaces?
I could remove the spaces easily but first want to find out what is the bug
behind this.
Btw. do have informed you that it is now also possible to translate the LyX
webpage when you like?
