Hello,
I know from the archive that it is a frequent problem but anyway, I
couldn't solve it:
In my keyboard map file I have
\kmap "\\ss{}"
in the hope to get the german sz ligature when typing the letter sz on
my german keyboard (sorry, can't show it here). Sadly, this doesn't
work; although the desired letter is shown in LyX itself, it produces an
SS (yes, uppercase) instead of what I want in the dvi resp. ps output.
In contrast, other definitions like
\kmod ' acute aeiouAEIOU
work as expected. I never encountered this when writing LaTeX files
directly with the emacs. Maybe it is of interest that I have LyX v.1.0.4
and my ~/.Xkeyboard defines
keycode 20 = ssharp question backslash
Having no idea, I have also tried
\kmap ssharp "\\ss{}"
but that was even worse, because it screwed up my s key.
I would really appreciate if you could give me a hint and also sent a
reply to me as direct email, as I am not subscribed to the list.
