That was exactly what I was looking for and it works also under Lyx if put
in the preamble. Thanks a lot for the hint. I wonder whether this feature
could be implemented into the Figure popup

do translations here as e.g no grafics display
since, as I remember, do translation doesn`t do anything or it was
forgotten what it should do.
In documents with lots of figures it is often annoying to load them if
only textwork is done.
Let me express again at this occassion my sincerest gratitude and thanks
to all the developers and maintainers and care takers of all the
intelligent and unintelligent questions users of Lyx are putting forward.
Being in India for a couple of month, I was astonished to see that most
people using PCs do not know of Linux and its advantages and low costs. I
was told that one of the main obstacles is the downloading, which under
the present technical standard takes too long or is too unreliable. What
about not throwing away the last outdated Linux CD and send it to somebody
here? Just a thought and I don`t know about any legal problems.
