This particular use of of the External Inset will be superceded in the
coming version of LyX, Inset Graphics will make its first appearance, it
will replace the older FigInset and will support bitmap images through
automatic conversion of the image to the needed format (EPS or PNG for
PS or PDF output respectively).
External Inset = Insert External Material
FigInset = Insert Graphics (old)
Inset Graphics = Insert Graphics (new)
