I find your example does not have the arrows inn LyX, but does have them in the PDF output, as yours does. I'm running Linux Mint with LyX 2.0.8.1.
Some things, such as an inserted SVG figure and rotated tables, do not diaplay correctly in the LyX preview, but do correctly compile with pdflatex. Because it's the final output that is important, you can always compile the file and view the resulting PDF rather than the dvips preview. Rich
