Hi Michael,

Just for fun, try running texhash. I've always had to on
Mandrake/Mandriva, Ubuntu and Debian. Takes only 1 minute, can't
hurt.
I agree with Steve that it's always a good idea to try that. Don't
forget to do another Tools > Reconfiguration after texhash.

Scott

Hi Scott,
what is wrong here? One more time: I am NOT the one having that
problem - it is Marta Arespa Costello!
Michael
Hi Michael,

I don't understand. I just mentioned that after running texhash it
is useful to run Tools > Reconfigure. You told Martha to run Tools >
Reconfigure earlier in the thread, but it was not in the context of
texhash. Thus I was worried that she would try your suggestion of
Tools > Reconfigure, then try Steve's suggestion of texhash and
stop there. I just wanted to make sure that she knew that after
Steve's suggestion she should try your suggestion again (I don't
think this was obvious).

Did I misunderstand something?

Scott
No Scott, I have no idea how this got mixed up especially when the
list shows clearly that Marta was the person who asked for help and I
was just the first to answer.
Let's forget why and how and that somebody will eventually help her.
Cheers,
Michael
Here's how you got mixed up. You replied to my texhash suggestion,
basically, "no need to do that with Linux". Reading fast, I thought you
were the OP, and used your name instead of Marta's. But my advice was
sound: It takes 1 minute to run texhash, and perhaps it might solve the
problem. You and I both top-posted, and that doesn't help following who
wrote what.

So I officially apologize for conglomerating you with Marta, and once
again say, *TO MARTA* "humor me, just run texhash (and then Reconfigure
from LyX and then quit and restart LyX".

Hi Steve, Scott,
as we say in German "alles klar" and thanks.
Let us hope for Marta that somebody can help resolving her problem. I myself have benefited a lot and many times from the list's input when I was sweating over some rather complex linguistic papers (I'm no expert, just an ordinary user). What I really miss is some feedback/expression of appreciation from people who could be helped. ;-)
The list is great!
Michael
