The hint is in Help > Specific Manuals > Beamer Presentations, which was written primarily to help users to move from the old to the new UI. On the slide "Separating Frames", there is a Box, labeled "Tip", that says: "There is a simple automated way to start a new frame: Issue Edit- >Start New Environment (Alt+A Return) if you are in a non-nested Frame paragraph, or Edit->Start New Parent Environment (Alt+A Shift+Return), respectively, if you are in a nested paragraph within the frame!" This manual includes some more useful hints you will want to read. HTH Jürgen
