You can see the problem in Tools > Preferences > File Handling > Converters under the converter PDF (graphics) -> EPS it shows: pdftops -eps -f 1 -l 1 $$i $$o the "1" in the above means the first page. I don't think there's any way to fix this issue. For the hazy black lines, I'm not sure why that's happening. I don't think I've seen those. The only thing I can think of is to uncheck "Show in LyX" so at least incorrect output is not shown in the LyX display. Scott
