Yes. I have lyx 2.3.0 loaded. Lyx 2.3.2 is in the Debian Testing
Repository. When I try to update to lyx 2.3.2 it affects about 40+
other programs, so I think I will wait for a while. I understand
Debian is coming out with a later version (I use stretch) in a couple
of months.
Now that I know your double-space/single-space/double-space trick, the
wait will be more than bearable.

When strange things happen in LaTeX output, I usually find it helpful to
do the View > Code Preview Pane (might have had a different name in
2.3.0) trick, setting the format to LaTeX rather than LyX, in the hope
of seeing something anomalous or interesting.
