Both are supported, but are different SGML supports, since the tools/DTD/etc.
used to publish the documents are not the same.

The stylesheets seem to be missing, or the catalogs path are not set. The
toolchain used by LyX is DocBook DTD + DocBook DSSSL + jade + jadetex +
sgmltools-lite.

As far as I know it is the DocBook DTD V3.1 that is supported by LyX, but in
the future I think that it will be customizable and/or detected during the LyX
configuration step.
