Thanks Scott, [Bernt, not Brent -- Bernt is a short form of Bernard] Setting the entire section in a Branch works in the sense that when it is non-active, it is not printed. HOWEVER, if I *activate* the branch, the section heading has been converted to standard, so the section numbering etc. disappears.
So Branch doesn't entirely do what I want. -----Original Message----- From: lyx-users <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Scott Kostyshak Sent: Saturday, July 5, 2025 11:29 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: LyX: making sections conditional? If so, where in the user manual do I find the description? Hi Brent, As you mentioned, I think LyX branches can do this. Did you try branches and they didn't work for you by chance? You can put an entire section in a LyX branch. Scott -- lyx-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.lyx.org/mailman/listinfo/lyx-users
