Yes, I agree. This is a point where Xfig would need improving althought
it otherwise is great. Have you considered making your table first with
a simple text editor, Nedit, Kwrite or such, and then copying and pasting
(with middle button I believe) the text into Xfig? That way you could edit
your table with a good text editor and then just add the arrows on top
of the several created text fields (one for each line) in Xfig.
