I just got a PM from Sven Hoexter <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
who told me that there are DEB Packages of LyX 1.2.1 and libforms1 
at ftp://ietpd1.sowi.uni-mainz.de/pub/debian/unofficial/binary/
Adding
deb ftp://ietpd1.sowi.uni-mainz.de/pub/debian/unofficial/ ./ #lyx
into /etc/apt/sources.list will make them apt-get aware.
