Install TrueType CM fonts which were available on location mentioned in
some previous post. Althogh I have here woody/stable (always afraid of some
not fully tested update screws up my configuration :-), I can confirm
that LyX-qt worked here with the 2.2.* KDE from woody and it works still
well with 3.1.* version of KDE from debian.kde.org.
