I'm not positive, but I think you have to do Edit | Reconfigure and 
possibly exit/restart LyX before it will recognize the presence of the 
aspell files.

As mentioned elsewhere, these are source code files; skip them if you 
intend only to use the binaries and not recompile yourself.

It should dump a bunch of information about the file.  (Precise output is 
irrelevant -- you just want to get something other than an unknown 
command error.)

Note that the directory containing the IM binaries should be on your 
path.  The install program should have taken care of that, but if not, 
you'll need to fix it yourself.

In addition to getting ImageMagick to work (and LyX to recognize it), you 
may also need to go to Edit | Preferences | Look and Feel | Graphics (in 
LyX) and make sure that a color option other than "do not display" is 
selected.
