Ok! Perversely this is _good news_ as it means we can make some
progress without having to re-compile LyX.

Can ImageMagick cope with this non-Windows style of
file path? Ie, does this work?

$ convert jpg:C:/LyX/Documents/happy.jpg ppm:C:/LyX/Documents/happy.ppm

How does it cope with this?

$ convert jpg:C:\LyX\Documents\happy.jpg ppm:C:\LyX\Documents\happy.ppm
