Let's just say that the guys implementing the Qt frontend had more important things to do. Like provide a Qt frontend in the first place. Remember, this is the very first version of LyX where you don't have to use xforms. You should find that the xforms frontend does have a more manageable scrolling behaviour. -- Angus
