I rehashed about 100 times over the last 3 days. :)

The most useless manual ever, I read it. It's more like the author's autobiography and story of how and why he wrote apacite, and then a latex reference section that assumes you already know latex and bibtex inside and out.

In any case, it is working now, after MUCH hassle.
