The LyX/Mac binary is available here: <http://edisk.fandm.edu/bennett.helm/LyX/LyX-1.4.2-Mac.dmg>
(This URL is linked via the wiki page at <http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/ LyXOnMac>.) It is compiled for PPC only, though it apparently runs well on Intel Macs via Rosetta.
If someone wants to compile an Intel version, contact me for tips and/ or instructions as well as for help bundling it up with the Installer and docs.
