Hi, I'm trying to figure out the current state of OpenDocument export on LyX
1.5.1. There is a good deal of info out there, but it seem this is changing
fairly rapidly, so not sure whether what I've found is current or not.

I read in the archives from August that the export to odt was working, at
least on Mac/Linux, but saw some suggestions that it isn't working on
Windows. On my XP system, if I do a File, Export, OpenDocument, it appears
to run without errors, but doesn't appear to produce any file. Could be that
it is saving the .odt file somewhere special I didn't think to look, but I
searched my entire C:\ drive for .odt files, looked in the same folder as
the original .lyx file, and in any paths listed in my LyX "Tools,
Preferences, Paths" (including the temp folder), and if it is there, I can't
find it.

There also seem to be different commands/converters. The default command
included with 1.5.1 is:

  oolatex $$i

However, the wiki <http://wiki.lyx.org/Tools/LyX2OpenOffice> suggests

  htlatex $$i 'xhtml,ooffice' 'ooffice/! -cmozhtf' '-coo' '-cvalidate'

Tried both, didn't make a difference. I thought of giving the python scripts
on that page a try, but the links under the 'Via a script" section are all
dead . . .

To confuse me even more, there is no direct mention of the converter
in the wiki
section on compatibility <http://wiki.lyx.org/FAQ/Compatibility#toc2>.

So, what is the current state of .odt export in LyX, particularly from
WinXP?

Thanks, BV
