OK, thanks. It seems as though there are some issues using tex4ht installed
via MiKTeX, as I have done. A google search for the above error produced
this discussion, http://www.gatago.org/comp/text/tex/50855831.html , which
suggests copying some folders to certain places on my machine.

I also can't seem to find the oolatex log. I did a full search of the C:\
drive for oolatex, then for latex, then for tex, but found nothing
resembling a log file for any of the above. The logs seem to be cleverly
concealed.
