Peace,

Nice joke.

It was not a joke, if I wanted to joke I could say, " What is the difference between a store and a stohr?" and someone else would say "what?", then I would say "You can get something useful from a store".

Is it necessary to force very float to be 'here definitely' if I actually want it to be correctly placed in the text?

You can use the document wide option in the document settings menu, but this will affect all floats of your document. I would therefore use the option "here if possible" and not " here, definitely".

Think I tried this, but I'll try again.

Why is the default placement so bad? Any ideas as to why the default is so bad? Suggestions?

The default isn't bad, it works for most documents. For more infos about the float settings, have a look at the EmbeddedObjects manual.

I did.

Thanks for your time.
