I try to get the latest 1.5 lyx under debian and entered in /etc/apt/sources.list # Testing deb http://download.tuxfamily.org/emiscabpo/lyx15-bpo/
but synaptic does not like this line. I also tried to update texlive et Co., but the latest version is 2005, which seems to me a bit antique. It also asks for libgnome2-perl, which I can't get if I search for it in synaptic (nor libgnome). Which package is responsible for it? http://www.samuel-greef.de/?p=210 tells me to get these packages and install them sequentially: 1. lyx-common_1.5.4-1~emiscabpo40+1_all.deb 2. libboost-filesystem1.34.1_1.34.1-2~emiscabpo40+1_i386.deb 3. libboost-regex1.34.1_1.34.1-2~emiscabpo40+1_i386.deb 4. libboost-signals1.34.1_1.34.1-2~emiscabpo40+1_i386.deb 5. lyx_1.5.4-1~emiscabpo40+1_i386.deb # Pakete in der angegebenen Reihenfolge mittels “dpkg -i PAKETNAME” installieren Is this correct, or does synaptic do the job for me? I would appreciate hints from one of you who uses Debian and has successfully installed Lyx 1.5.4 Thanks, Wolfgang
