Well after exporting from lyx to plain tex and a LOT of trial and error in
Kile I came to the following simple workaround:
If I remove "\usepackage{babel}" it all works and my references show. If I
leave \usepackage{babel} I get the weird citation white space errors.
Beats me why this should be so. Im just happy it works now. Now I just need
to be able to tell lyx not to add the babel package. Any idea how I would do
that? Otherwise I will have to do pdf generation from Kile.
