I am using LyX 1.6.4. on WinVista.
In Document > Settings > Math Options, uncheck "Use AMS Math package
automatically" and check "Use AMS Math package". Alternatively, you
can add \usepackage{amssymb} to the preamble. If LyX had noticed
other things in the document that required AMS Math, it would have
loaded the packages automatically, but apparently it did not.
That works. At this occacion I cleaned my preamble since it was new to
me that with "Use AMS Math package" checked every missing Math package
is automatically loaded.
